Every time here is published with the margin it was measured to, and ranked on its own worst case rather than its best reading.

A run measured to ±0.40 s is ranked as though it were 0.80 s slower than it says. Measuring carelessly cannot buy a position. The colour is the margin, not the speed — a blue 5.4 s is a quick car measured loosely, a gold 9.0 s an ordinary one measured well.

A rolling start. A gradient the instrument cannot undo. A phone loose in its mount. Too few satellites. Each is refused, with the reason, and the run does not appear on this page.

That is the feature rather than the fault. A board that accepted everything would rank the road and the mount alongside the car, and nobody could tell which they were reading.
